This is why this year's is so difficult from the man himself....

There seem to be fewer acapellas of the most popular songs floating around the internet. Sometimes I can find studio quality vocals without instruments. Sometimes I have to create my own or clean up other people’s attempts at vocal extraction. This affects sound quality.
The other challenge is the diversity of material and themes…I’m trying to create something that comes together as a single message, and there’s so many different messages in the music.

Double Trouble







A week off and we are back. Slightly worse for wear after a fortnight of debauchery. What do we have for you this week... two times, well everything. Double the fun this week, two albums of the week, two videos of the week and two times the mashup video awesomeness at the end. Lets get it ON!

Albums of the week

After a week off I have two Albums for you this week..



The first is Fenech Soler, their self titled new album is released this week. I am loving this album and have been playing it on my iPod all week…

This was going to be the Album of last week as it came out then… it’s a great album here is the new single from the album as a taster.

Firtstly something I came across yesterday which blew my mind. Magnetic Man have released video footage of their recent live session at BBC's Maida Vale studio.

Comprised of Skream, Benga and Artwork, the group recently swung by the BBC’s Maida Vale studios with a string section in tow for a serious live session [look at the focus on their faces!]. Watch their performance of “Perfect Stranger” featuring Katy B below. Receiving huge radio support, 'Perfect Stranger' is already tipped to fly into the Top Ten when the countdown is unveiled on Sunday (October 10th). 


Having taken the UK charts by storm with her Benga-produced debut single “Katy On A Mission”, BRIT School alumni Katy B also lends her vocals to the second single from dubstep ‘supergroup’ Magnetic Man‘s debut album.
